About the Play

As intricate as a finely constructed puzzle, Shaffers mystery-thriller-play may be the best of its kind. Set in the mansion of Andrew Wyke, an immensely successful mystery writer, who lures his wife's lover, Milo Tindle, to the house and convinces him to stage a robbery of her jewelry. This sets off a chain of events that leaves the audience trying to decipher where Wyke's imagination ends and reality begins. There's thievery, peril and plenty of double-crossing. At times the verbal sparring is so sharp that it's a wonder nobody loses an eye.
